We would like to inform you that CredoID version 3.3.703 and later employs a new licencing engine, which requires activation using unique License Key. Upgrades from any of the previous versions, as well as new installs, will require a new license file. A feature-limited 30-day demo license is also available for new installations.

As most systems are not connected to internet, please make sure you have the possibility to write down the License Key and send it by email to your original distributor to obtain a valid license file. Without a valid license, the upgraded version will stop working immediately.

Note that received license will only work on the work station where the License Key was generated. It is not possible to use the same license on multiple work stations as each work station generates a different License Key. If system is being transfered from one personal computer to another, same licensing mechanic has to be done, free of charge unless the license is no longer valid.

All customers with installations under warranty are entitled for free upgrade. If you hold an out-of-warranty license, you are entitled for a special upgrade pricing. Please contact your distributor for details.

Latest released version: CredoID v3.3.918, February 27, 2017. Right-click on the link and select "Save target as": CredoID-3.3.918-grey or CredoID-3.3.918-white. It is recommended to read the documentation before installing the software.

Prerequisites: The following software components MUST be installed BEFORE installing CredoID. You may choose to download them from our web site, however it is recommended to lookup the latest versions on the Internet:

  • Microsoft .Net framework version 4.6.1 (or later). If you have Windows Automatic Updates enabled, most likely you will have .net 4.0 Client Profile installed. Client Profile is not sufficient. You will have to manually download full version of .net 4.6.1.
  • MS SQL 2008 R2 Express (with tools) or higher. For your convenience we provide the links to MS SQL 2008 R2 Express 32bit and 64bit editions, but we advise to use newer SQL server versions if possible, such as MS SQL 2014 or MS SQL 2016. for better compatibility and performance.

IMPORTANT! If you plan to use 2014 or older version of MS SQL with CredoID, please read instructions for installation of additional files here.

Optional components:

  • Bonjour service discovery protocol. Required only if you would like CredoID software to automatically detect all Mercury controllers available on the network. For your convenience we provide the link to Bonjour version 2.0.0.34.

Demo mode: The installation files include both, real and demo, versions of the software. During the installation you have to select whether you want to install a demonstration or working software. Demo version does NOT communicate with hardware.

Licenses: Unregistered version of the program may be used during a 30-day trial period. Unregistered version allows adding only one reader and advanced features such as ID card design, time & attendance are disabled. After the 30-days trial period expires, users must either purchase the full version for CredoID or apply for a Demo license.

If you have ideas how to make CredoID better or are experiencing problems, please send us a note to support@midpoint-security.com.

When reporting a problem, please be as detailed as possible:

  • Include software error codes. If an error message is displayed, click on the "Details" button, copy the error text to clipboard and then paste into an email message or attach as a text file.
  • Describe what steps should be taken in order to duplicate the error.
  • Add screen shots if appropriate. When error message or condition is displayed on the screen press Print Screen (or Alt + Print Screen) on your keyboard. Then start MS Paint or MS Word program, press Ctrl+V or select "Paste" from the "Edit" menu. This way the error message image will be transferred to MS Paint or MS Word and you will be able to save and email it to us.
